About Us
- America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia
- Savannah, GA, United States
- America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia was established in 1981 as a locally inspired, volunteer-driven non profit food bank. Our community-building organization serves twenty-one counties in southeastern Georgia with the mission of feeding hungry people and strengthening communities. The mission of the food bank is to feed the hungry by distributing nutritious food to non-profit agencies and at risk elderly and youth, to assist in disaster relief, and work towards long term solutions to end the cycle of poverty and hunger. Our statement of purpose is "Utilizing food and education to improve lives and create a hunger-free community".
